**Effective May 1, 2011 new testing requirements will take place. To sit for the PHR exam, you must have a minimum of four years of exempt level HR experience or two years with a Bachelors or one year with a Master's Degree. To sit for the SPHR, you must have a minimum of seven years of exempt level HR experience or five years with a Bachelors or four years with a Master's Degree.
