Course Description:

Attention Crane Operators...

New OSHA regulations starting November 10, 2018 require that all crane operators, riggers and signalpersons be certified. These intense workshops, taught by Southeastern Crane Academy are recognized by Crane Institute of America Certification, LLC an independent certifying organization providing OSHA and NCCA accredited certifications.

With both the commercial and residential construction industry on the rise, and a looming mandatory OSHA deadline closing in, capable certified crane operators are in high demand now more than ever. The mobile crane operator course is a four day course combining in-depth classroom studies with personalized hands-on time on an actual crane to prepare students to pass the CIC national certification exam. The course helps establish basic and advanced operating practices for the participant with an emphasis on safety.

Topics Covered Include:

• OSHA and ASME crane standards
• Causes and results of crane accidents
• Types of mobile cranes, components, and terminology
• Pre-operational inspection
• Crane setup, recognizing site hazards, and site preparation
• Safe operating practices and procedures
