Course Description:

Today, nonprofits and government offices are relying more on grant funding for operational expenses or special projects.  However, it’s competitive out there.  The grant writing process also has terminology, procedures, and techniques that are essential to know.

This workshop provides an overview of what government and private foundation grants are and reviews how to find grants, what the basic parts of a proposal are, and how to steer clear of grammatical mishaps.  The instructor then dives into reviewing the RFP, researching data, formatting the application, and writing a convincing proposal.  The Abstract, Narrative, Organizational History, Timeline, and Budget are also covered.

This workshop is highly recommended for educators, people who work for governmental and nonprofit organizations.

INSTRUCTOR:  Teri Pinney, MBA, GPC; Education and Grant Writing Consultant.    A proven track record of grant writing projects for non-profit organizations and government entities!  Certified grant writer by the Grant Professionals Association (formerly American Association of Grant Professionals)  and the Grant Professional Certification Institute!
