NEW 20 HOUR CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP

The CCTI has partnered with the 19th Circuit Court Administration and The Florida Association of Professional Process Servers (FAPPS) to provide the required training to become a Process Server in Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin & Okeechobee Counties.

This intense two and a half day, 20 hour course, is not a certification; it is the educational requirement for the 19th Judicial Circuit and must be completed prior to making an application to the circuit to be a process server in the four county region.  Designed for the individual looking to become a private process server this intense course covers the following subjects:

  • 19th Circuit Administrative Order
  • Service of Process
  • Selected Legal Definitions
  • Florida Courts
  • Selected Florida Statutes
  • Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Criminal Procedure
  • Federal Statutes
  • Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Proper vs. improper affidavits/returns
  • Statutory time limits
  • Reasonable diligence
  • Subpoenas, writs and other process
  • Ethics and Professionalism
  • Good Business Practices
     

Class schedule: Friday evening, June 23rd, 5pm-9pm / Saturday & Sunday all day, June 24th & 25th, 8am - 5pm

At the completion of the course all attendees will be tested and must pass with a minimum score of 80% to be certified in the 19th circuit.
